Prices and offers change. Each figure was read on the date shown: confirm on the provider's own page before you buy.

In short

  • Contracts differ in where you must live: some accept only residents of Europe and the Maghreb, others accept any country of residence, including Canada and the United States.
  • Some contracts cover death only. Others add medical transport, medical costs, vehicle breakdown and legal help. Read the list of guarantees and their limits before you sign.
  • Check the age limit and the waiting period: some contracts must be taken before 65 or 70, and one covers death from illness only after 90 days.
  • Several banks use the name Injad for different contracts run by different assistance companies. Check the assistance company named on your own contract.
  • Keep the assistance company's emergency number in your wallet. The number to call from abroad can differ from the number to call in Morocco.
  • If you are a Moroccan national insured in France and not also French, ask for form SE 350-04 before you leave and keep it with your passport. The European Health Insurance Card is for Europe only.

Show the form to the Moroccan social security fund (CNSS). Care that is immediately necessary is then provided under Moroccan rules. Without the form, the CNSS can ask your French fund for it. Source: cleiss.fr
Sick leave during your stay
If you are put on sick leave in Morocco, send the short medical report (form SE 350-20) to your French fund within 48 hours. Your French fund decides on the daily allowance. Source: cleiss.fr
Refund after your return
Outside the agreement, your French fund may refund only urgent, unplanned care after your return, at French flat rates, not what you paid. Without an online account, send the bills with form S3125. Source: ameli.fr
